MARAKI | Brand story

My name is Maria and I am the founder of Maraki.

The Maraki brand was born from my love for Greece – it’s a wonderful country with rich culture and unique quality.

The brand name "maraki" is the Greek diminutive of the name Maria (Mary).

I toyed with the idea of ​​my own brand back in 2019. At that time, I was looking for quality family businesses - workshops and leather sewn products. I started looking for interesting stories, products and solutions that would be worth presenting in the Slovak market.

The first steps were the hardest. I didn't know where to start, what products to choose, how to promote them. However, I knew that if I wanted my business to be successful, I had to have a clear vision and focus on product quality.

After months of searching and testing, I found ideal partners - small family businesses that produce unique and quality products to this day.

Since I fell in love with Greece, it was important for me to find products that not only look good, but were also durable and of high quality. And I found just what I was looking for.

In 2022, I finally decided to take a step forward and launch my own online store specialized in Greek products. It was a dream come true! I am so passionate about all things in Greece and I am excited to share that passion with you all through the products we offer on our website.

I personally select every product that is on the Maraki.sk website. I have selected each product by hand because I believe in its quality and craftsmanship. I'm proud to offer a selection of unique items that you won't find anywhere else on the internet!
